Nearly 8,000 guests are supposed to attend India’s 15th Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7 PM at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ceremony is supposed to make the biggest ever event which will be held in the historic place. The swearing-in ceremony will be attended in accordance with the government’s “Neighbourhood First” policy and subsequently attended by the leaders of BIMSTEC member countries.
Apart from the world leaders, chief ministers, party leaders, diplomats, ambassadors, members of the opposition and celebrities will also contribute their time to the oath ceremony. More than 100 Non- Residents of India (NRI) also fly to Delhi to witness the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister.
After the massive victory of Narendra Modi can be seen as a reflection in the size of the gathering. The Press Secretary of the President, Ashok Malik, “It will be the biggest-ever event at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. 8,000 people are coming.”
The swearing-in will be held in the public space of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the same venue as in 2014. The event then was attended by about 5,000 guests.
Whom All Are Invited
The guests are invited to BIMSTEC member countries. BIMSTEC or the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation is the regional grouping of the countries on the periphery of the Bay of Bengal which includes Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Thailand, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.

Cuisines to Be Served
The guests attending the oath ceremony will be treated with high tea that will have snacks, including samosas and paneer items from sweets. Followed by a private dinner hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind for the BIMSTEC leaders. The dinner is set to light after the ceremony as it will be set a little late in the evening. The Prime Minister will also attend dinner along with some officials.
The Press Secretary said, “urs to prepare. The process of preparing it started on May 28 and it will be ready by tomorrow (Thursday). It’s a variant of popular “maa ki daal”.”
The visiting foreign notables will be treated to vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes including soup, fish, chicken, vegetables and “Dal Raisina” – a special delicacy of the Rashtrapati Bhavan that takes 48 hours to cook – among other delicacies.
